Southwest Research Institute

Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) is s one of the oldest and largest independent, nonprofit, applied research and development (R&D) organizations in the United States.

The staff of more than 3,200 provides contract research and development services to industrial and government clients in the United States and abroad.

SwRI occupies more than 1,200 acres in San Antonio, Texas, and provides nearly 2 million square feet of laboratories, test facilities, workshops and offices. Total revenue for fiscal year 2009 was $564 million.

Oliver Tessier provides executive coaching to each of the six members of the Senior Management Team for the Division of Engines, Emissions, and Vehicle Research. The process focuses on leadership development and will support the Senior Management Team members in implementing the changes indicated by the strategic plan.
